9-12-25 ....... FRIDAY ....... FALL FISHING HAS BEGUN! ..........

With absolutely beautiful weather and dropping water temperature, the conditions for a great weekend of fishing are here! ........ Good catches of POMPANO today coupled with FLOUNDER, big BLUEFISH and SPANISH MACKEREL have everyone excited about the days ahead! ........ Congratulations to TIM NORRIS (Peletier, NC)-- 8 lb. 1 oz. BLUE .......... BRYTON LINDSAY (Orange County, VA)-- 3 lb. 2 oz. FLOUNDER ........... ALLAN ADCOCK (Macon, NC)-- 2 lb. 14 oz. FLOUNDER .... H.E. TYNDALL (Henderson, NC)-- 1 lb. 8 oz. POMPANO ........... and TYLER REDMON (Kernersville, NC)-- 7 oz. POMPANO ........... We are approaching the peak fall KING MACKEREL run and that is always something to watch out for also! ........ Dr. Bogus reports the WATER TEMPERATURE at 76* which is dropping just right! ...... Bogue Inlet Pier is the place to be this weekend ........ COME ON DOWN! ......... MIKE STANLEY

9-6-25 ....... SATURDAY......... GOOD FISHING WARM-UP! ........

DR. BOGUS reports a warmer WATER TEMPERATURE at 81* (thanks!) and fishing has warmed up also! ........ Our KING fishermen were complaining about KINGS circling the baits on Thursday without a strike but they returned to make a connection! ........ Congratulations to SHANNON BANCROFT (Maysville, NC)-- 20 lb. 1 oz. KING MACKEREL ........... DON SHEFFIELD (Emerald Isle, NC)-- 15 lb. 4 oz. KING MACKEREL ........... JEFF BENSON (Clayton, NC)-- 3 lb. 4 oz. FLOUNDER ............ MICHAEL FREEMAN (Cape Carteret, NC)-- 2 lb. 6 oz. FLOUNDER .......... and SHARON HALL (Snow Hill, NC)-- 15 oz. SEA MULLET! .........The short FLOUNDER SEASON has been productive and we're seeing some nice ones being landed! ....... We're still seeing some nice POMPANO too........ Don't wait too long though, the season is almost over already!........ Next week will see a more seasonal cool-off so we are looking forward to bottom fishing on the increase! .......... 8-30-25 ........ SATURDAY ....... LABOR DAY WEEKEND..........

Well.... we finally made it to SUMMER'S END! ......... As the kids go back to school and the farmers are finishing up their work the weather is cooling off and it's wonderful!......... Fishing is at the turning point also with SPANISH MACKEREL, BLUEFISH, some really nice POMPANO, and plenty of PINFISH! .......... Congratulations to BRIAN BOWMAN (Youngsville, NC)-- 35 lb. JACK CREVELLE ............. ERNEST DUROGENE (Windell, NC)-- 1 lb. 15 oz. POMPANO ........... PAK BURGER (Emerald Isle, NC)-- 1 lb. 11 oz. POMPANO ........... and KENLEIGH LEROUX (Hubert, NC)-- 6 oz. SPADEFISH ......... LABOR DAY WEEKEND signals the end of the summer season so everyone is here to hang out and take a good old fashioned chill break before the real fishing begins!......... Thanks for helping to make the 2025 season the best one ever! ....... We'll be raising the PARKING GATES at midnight on Monday, Sept. 2nd and they will remain open through APRIL 15th! ......... The pier will close on Sunday, November 30th so you have plenty of time to COME ON DOWN! .......... HAPPY LABOR DAY! ......... MIKE STANLEY

8-23-25 ....... SATURDAY........ FALL-LIKE WEATHER! .........

As LABOR DAY approaches, we are seeing some good signs that FALL FISHING is on the move! ....... Hurricane Erin seems to have kept the SPANISH MACKEREL and BLUEFISH around ........ JUMPING MULLET are coming by in large schools which is the sign we're looking for!......... Congratulations to SHEILA BRADLEY (Rutherfordton, NC)-- 5 lb. 2 oz. PUPPY DRUM .......... OLIVER FRENCH (Berlin, VT)-- 1 lb. 7 oz. SPANISH MACKEREL ......... and BO DOAK (New Bern, NC)-- 5 oz. SPOT ......... For those who noticed the PIER CAM outage, we have switched internet providers and now have everything back up with hopefully better upload and dependability (I doubt it!) ..........DR. BOGUS reports a slight drop in the WATER TEMPERATURE to 81* (thanks)........ A cooler week ahead and no Tropical Storms for the foreseeable future so plan on coming down for LABOR DAY WEEKEND! ........ The Parking Gates will be removed for the season on September 2nd for those who can't figure out our system...... PARKING will be FREE starting next TUESDAY! ......... COME ON DOWN! .......... The scenery is changing fast around here today as HURRICANE ERIN scoots near the North Carolina coast! ....... This evening, the waves are growing steadily with EAST winds changing to NORTH over night........ DR BOGUS reports the WATER TEMPERATURE at 85* today which is almost average for this time of year ....... FISHING has slowed today but the past few days have been pretty good!........ Congratulations to COOPER MARTINHO (Mebane, NC)-- 4 lb. 6 oz. SPANISH MACKEREL ........... NOAH MERTZ (Morehead City, NC)-- 2 lb. 14 oz. SPANISH MACKEREL .......
